Chats have live working indicators (sidebar shimmer, working row), so the harness's acknowledgment reactions on the user's message read as the agent spamming emoji — noticeable the moment a second agent joins and both react. The queue-time 👀 gates on the existing chat check; the turn-start 💬 resolves chat-ness inside its fire-and-forget task (startup cache first, REST fallback for chats created after the harness booted) so the prompt still fires immediately. The ReactionGuard cleanup stays unconditional — removing reactions that were never added is a no-op. Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
