"Contact" link and the FAQ "Contact Us" button become "Talk to a human",
and the Enterprise pricing "Contact Sales" becomes "Let's talk". All links
still point to /contact; only the labels change.

A self-hosted animated warm gradient now sits behind the hero: a captured
WebGL mesh loop (webm + mp4 + webp poster, no framework or Three.js) in a
top band that fades to cream before the tool search. The headline goes
white, badges become dark glass, and the navbar is more opaque so nav,
badges, headline, and subtitle all stay legible over the gradient.
Reduced-motion and small screens fall back to the still poster.
Also carries the hero copy already present in the working tree (new
headline, badge labels, and subtitle), which is entangled with these edits.

Draw, type, or upload a signature and place resizable/rotatable copies across PDF pages; output flattened server-side with PyMuPDF. Visual electronic signature, not cryptographic. New interactive-sign display mode (pdf.js + Konva) and a custom docs-pool route.
Root llms.txt was still 1.x: 157 tools, old per-modality counts, single-container 'docker run' quick-start, 14 permissions. Rewrote it from the live catalog to 200+ tools with accurate per-section listings (image/video/audio/PDF/files = 240), a Docker Compose quick-start, and the current stack. Landing public/llms.txt: removed the '(N tools)' counts from the 5 section headers (drift-proof) and renamed 'Data & File Tools' to 'File Tools'.

The pdf section has 28 tools (section.test.ts asserts bySection('pdf')=28). PR #363 corrected the docs breakdown but the alternatives pages still said 40 PDF tools (the document-modality count, not the pdf section) with 200 for the rest. Update to 28 PDF tools and 212 for the non-PDF remainder.

Replaces the exact '240 tools' count (which drifts as tools are added) with the stable '200+ tools' on README, the Docker Hub overview, landing pages, the docs site (meta, homepage, search), the API self-description, the demo OG tag, llms.txt, package.json, the branding readme, and the en/nl app strings. Per-modality breakdown tables stay exact. Leaves the architecture doc's technical 'tool routes' figure, an internal vitest comment, and a QA report line unchanged. Updates the two tests that assert the docs strings.
The dashboard GIF and social/OG card still showed 157 tools with the old
per-section counts. Regenerated both at the current catalog (240: image 105,
video 57, audio 27, pdf 28, files 23).
Also fixed the root cause in generate-social-preview.mjs: it hardcoded the
card counts, so they drift every time tools are added. It now derives them
live from TOOLS + toolSection (the same source the landing CategoryCards use)
and runs under tsx.
Lands five integrated branches: pipeline templates (#355), analytics opt-out (#354), 83 conversion presets bringing the catalog to 240 tools (#356), self-hosted positioning (#353), and e2e modernization (#351).
Integration fixes: aligned stale web analytics tests with the opt-out/allow-list model, closed 3 CodeQL incomplete-sanitization alerts in the i18n generator, resolved settings/index/docs/format-matrix conflicts, and corrected tool counts to 240.

Update README, in-app privacy page, landing privacy page, and
deployment docs to reflect the new analytics model. Remove references
to opt-in consent, Settings toggle, and ANALYTICS_ENABLED env var.
Document the SNAPOTTER_ANALYTICS build arg for disabling.

Fetch landing stars + image pulls at build time via a shared stats lib, refreshed by a daily cron + authenticated GITHUB_TOKEN. Image Pulls totals live Docker Hub pull_count + a maintained GHCR estimate (ghcr.io has no public pull-count API).
The Astro Dev Toolbar (enabled by default in dev mode) injects h1
elements ("No islands detected", "Audit", "Settings") and a
"Community" link inside its shadow DOM. Playwright CSS selectors
pierce shadow DOM, causing 6 test failures:
- 5 heading-hierarchy tests saw extra h1 elements from the toolbar
- footer "Community" column title resolved to 2 elements (footer h4
plus toolbar's Astro community chat link)
Root-cause fix: set PLAYWRIGHT=1 env var in the Playwright webServer
command; Astro config conditionally disables devToolbar when set.
Normal development retains the toolbar.
- tests/e2e/helpers.ts: build the sharp script path via JSON.stringify
instead of single-quote-only replace (CodeQL js/incomplete-sanitization,
high: backslashes were not escaped). Proper fix, no suppression.
- landing CategoryCards: rename the file-modality marketing card to
"File Tools" (matches the Image/Video/Audio Tools siblings and is
unique vs the 23 "Files" tool pills, which broke the e2e locator).
Modality label stays "Files" everywhere it is the actual modality.
#280 left 10 section-prefixed custom-route files mis-indented and one
unsorted import block in the new landing section-index page. Fixed via
biome formatter (api) and manual import sort (landing). No config change
(biome.json is hook-protected); no suppression. pnpm lint + typecheck
now exit 0.
The fifth user-facing group is now Image, Video, Audio, PDF, Files
(internal modality id stays "file"; section.ts "files" was already
"Files"). Updates modality.ts label + comment, all 21 i18n locales
(categories.data "Data Files"->"Files", modalities.documentsAndFiles
"PDF & Data"->"PDF & Files", dead homePage.data), landing cards/hero
search/tools filter, docs headings, and e2e modality-tab assertions
(/^Data/ -> /^Files/, which had been failing).
Bump all workspace package versions and APP_VERSION to 2.0.0, marking the
official 2.0 release. Removes the stale 1.x .release-notes.md artifact
(semantic-release regenerates release notes). The 2.0/multimodality docs
and rebrand already landed on main via #254 and #261, so this carries only
the version designation forward from the rebrand branch.
BREAKING CHANGE: SnapOtter 2.0 - the platform re-architecture (Postgres 17 +
Redis 8 + BullMQ durable jobs, 157 tools across five modalities) is the 2.0
release line, replacing the 1.x SQLite single-container architecture.
Bump astro ^5.8.0 -> ^6.4.7, @astrojs/sitemap ^3.3.0 -> ^3.7.3, @astrojs/check ^0.9.0 -> ^0.9.9.
The landing uses none of the Astro APIs removed in v6 (no Astro.glob, ViewTransitions, or content collections), so no code changes were required. Astro 6 runs on the repo's existing Vite 8 (the monorepo is already on Vite 8 via the shared override).
Verified: landing build (165 pages) + astro check (0 errors); full monorepo build/typecheck/lint all pass; homepage renders correctly.

Relocate the terminal mockup from the separate HowItWorks section
