The e2e specs predate the 2.0 section-route migration and navigated to
single-segment tool URLs (/resize) that now 404 (App.tsx only mounts
/:section/:toolId). This broke the whole e2e suite (Cross-Browser, Device
Matrix, E2E Full, Visual) - part of the known stale-spec backlog.
- Sweep 929 goto("/<tool>") -> goto("/<section>/<tool>") across 45 spec
files, using the authoritative TOOLS + toolSection() mapping. Two-segment
routes, top-level routes (/automate, /editor, ...), and intentional 404
tests (/nonexistent-*) are untouched.
- Implement the legacy redirects the specs already assert: the 1.x color
tools (brightness-contrast, saturation, color-channels, color-effects)
redirect to /image/adjust-colors (App.tsx). Good for old bookmarks too.
- Remove the analytics-consent page tests (gui-navigation + gui-visual);
#336 deleted that page.
Mechanical + biome-clean + web typecheck passes. Browser-specific behavior
can only be confirmed by the nightly e2e jobs.
Add ~500 new E2E tests and ~300 new integration tests covering:
- 24 new GUI E2E specs: navigation, responsive layout, keyboard shortcuts,
tool UI for all 35 non-AI tools, batch/pipeline workflows, settings/RBAC,
visual regression, accessibility, and performance budgets
- 3 new E2E-Docker specs: batch workflows, advanced pipelines, cross-format
- 1 new adversarial integration test: memory pressure, corrupted files,
unicode filenames, extreme dimensions, pipeline/batch edge cases
- 29 expanded integration test files: HEIC/HEIF input, large files, parameter
boundaries, batch processing, format edge cases across all tools
- Cross-format matrix expanded: 641 tests covering every tool x 18 formats
- AI bridge unit tests expanded: lifecycle, tool modules, error propagation
- Unit test gaps filled: analytics, tool-registry, web stores
Also fixes:
- vitest.config.ts: exclude e2e-docs and e2e-landing from Vitest runner
- AI E2E specs: add sidecar health check to skip gracefully when Python
AI backend is not running instead of timing out
- Add safe_onnx_session() to gpu.py with graceful CUDA EP → CPU fallback
- Replace bare ort.InferenceSession() calls across colorize, restore, inpaint, remove_bg
- Add libcublas-12-6 to production Dockerfile for ONNX Runtime CUDA EP
- Add skipIfFeatureNotInstalled guards to remove-bg, blur-faces, smart-crop, ocr, noise-removal e2e specs
- Add AI tool install prompt detection in tools-all.spec.ts
- Add smart-crop to PYTHON_SIDECAR_TOOLS so frontend shows install prompt correctly
- Create Dockerfile.test.dockerignore to include tests/ in test image builds
- Add libheif-examples and exiftool to Dockerfile.test for HEIC and metadata tests
- Regenerate visual regression baselines for Docker/Linux and skip on non-Docker platforms
- Fix SKIP_MUST_CHANGE_PASSWORD not affecting login/session API responses,
causing frontend redirect even when the env var was set after user creation
- Increase Docker Playwright timeouts (test: 600s, expect: 60s, AI processing: 300s)
to support CPU-only self-hosted environments
- Increase default rate limit from 100 to 50000 req/min for self-hosted deployments
- Fix OCR tests: use filechooser pattern (Dropzone has no static file input),
correct enhance checkbox default, rewrite for actual fixture behavior
- Fix remove-bg tests: update quality labels (Balanced→HD, Best→Max)
- Fix noise-removal skip guard: use waitFor() instead of instant isVisible()
- Fix automate pipeline save test: clean up stale E2E pipelines before assertion

- BiRefNet-matting ONNX (928MB) for true alpha matting with per-pixel
