ashim-hq 1807a4ddfd fix: raise maxParamLength to 500 for long filenames
Fastify's find-my-way router defaults maxParamLength to 100 chars.
Files with long names (e.g., stock photo filenames >100 chars) would
return 404 on download because the :filename param exceeded the limit.

ashim-hq be254f9ca6 feat: dynamic timeouts — scale with image size, respect PROCESSING_TIMEOUT_S
Create timeout.ts utility for dynamic timeout computation.
Replace hardcoded timeouts across the stack:
- tool-factory worker: 30s → dynamic based on megapixels
- Python bridge default: 300s → 600s (or env override)
- background-removal: fixed → dynamic based on image size
- OCR: fixed 600s → dynamic based on image size
- seam-carving: 120s → dynamic based on image size
- ExifTool: 30s → 60s
- HEIC converter: 30s → 120s
- SQLite busy_timeout: 5s → 10s

ashim-hq 7daf2377f0 feat: unlimited by default — env vars default to 0 (unlimited)
Add 10 new configurable env vars (MAX_WORKER_THREADS, PROCESSING_TIMEOUT_S,
MAX_PIPELINE_STEPS, MAX_CANVAS_PIXELS, MAX_SVG_SIZE_MB, MAX_LOGO_SIZE_KB,
MAX_SPLIT_GRID, MAX_PDF_PAGES, SESSION_DURATION_HOURS, LOGIN_ATTEMPT_LIMIT).

Change existing defaults: MAX_UPLOAD_SIZE_MB=0, MAX_BATCH_SIZE=0,
MAX_MEGAPIXELS=0, RATE_LIMIT_PER_MIN=0, MAX_USERS=0, CONCURRENT_JOBS=0.

Zero means unlimited/auto-detect throughout the application.

ashim-hq f67a03bb36 fix: resolve all audit findings — e2e coverage, feature system hardening, visual baselines
- Add 8 new E2E specs for AI tools (upscale, enhance-faces, colorize,
  restore-photo, erase-object, smart-crop, passport-photo, red-eye-removal)
closing all HIGH/MEDIUM coverage gaps from the test matrix audit
- Fix ensureAiDirs() crash on non-Docker environments by gating on
isDockerEnvironment() — prevents ENOENT when /data doesn't exist
- Bump torch 2.6.0→2.7.0 and torchvision 0.21.0→0.22.0 in feature
manifest for broader Python version compatibility
- Add Python 3.14 version guard warning in install_feature.py
- Remove duplicate torchvision shims from upscale.py and enhance_faces.py
(dispatcher.py already handles this at startup)
- Remove orphaned tools.batch i18n key and dead pipeline-builder filter
- Regenerate 4 visual regression baselines for current UI state
- Add data-testid to passport-photo generate button for E2E testability

ashim-hq e7eea34080 fix: resolve basicsr/torchvision shim bug, lint warnings, and code formatting
The torchvision compatibility shim for basicsr 1.4.2 was missing the
parent-package binding and only proxied a single attribute, causing
upscale and enhance-faces to fail at import time. The fix adds a
__getattr__ proxy for all attributes, binds the shim to the parent
package, and installs it in the dispatcher at startup for defense-in-depth.

Also removes unused anyInstalling variable, redundant `as any` cast,
and applies Biome formatting fixes across the codebase.

ashim-hq ac5fdfb841 fix: update e2e tests for current UI, increase timeouts for CPU environments, and fix auth bypass bug
- Fix SKIP_MUST_CHANGE_PASSWORD not affecting login/session API responses,
causing frontend redirect even when the env var was set after user creation
- Increase Docker Playwright timeouts (test: 600s, expect: 60s, AI processing: 300s)
  to support CPU-only self-hosted environments
- Increase default rate limit from 100 to 50000 req/min for self-hosted deployments
- Fix OCR tests: use filechooser pattern (Dropzone has no static file input),
correct enhance checkbox default, rewrite for actual fixture behavior
- Fix remove-bg tests: update quality labels (Balanced→HD, Best→Max)
- Fix noise-removal skip guard: use waitFor() instead of instant isVisible()
- Fix automate pipeline save test: clean up stale E2E pipelines before assertion

AshimandClaude Opus 4.6 6edb92c242 feat: add output filename suffixes, CPU fallback for GPU packages, and fix e2e tests
- Add tool-specific suffix to output filenames so downloads don't overwrite originals (batch & single-tool routes)
- Skip deleting shared models when uninstalling a bundle that shares models with another installed bundle
- Auto-detect NVIDIA GPU and swap GPU-only pip packages (onnxruntime-gpu, paddlepaddle-gpu) for CPU equivalents
- Refactor docker-compose with YAML anchors and explicit cpu/gpu profiles
- Add libheif-plugin-x265 to Dockerfile
- Fix install-all queue logic to handle concurrent individual installs and clear stale errors
- Unify playwright docker config to use same test dir with API_URL env var
- Fix flaky e2e selectors, rename Strip Metadata → Remove Metadata, handle collage custom dropzone, improve fallback test image generation

ashim-hq 546cf52222 fix: install lock used server PID causing permanent stale lock
The lock file stored process.pid (Node server PID) which is always
alive. When releaseInstallLock wasn't called (e.g., error path),
the lock persisted forever, making the bundle stuck in "installing"
and blocking all future installs.

Fix: remove PID from lock entirely. Use simple file existence as
mutex. On server startup, unconditionally delete any lock file.

ashim-hq 3eab3d5391 fix: tool page race condition on refresh and install error reporting
- Subscribe to features store reactively in ToolPage so refresh shows

- Show loading state while features are being fetched for AI tools
- Capture stdout from install script for better error messages
- Keep last 20 stderr lines for error context instead of just exit code
- Clear install progress on success (was leaving stale state)
- Pass PIP_CACHE_DIR to install subprocess

ashim-hq 2a94cdc024 fix: add FEATURE_NOT_INSTALLED guard to all 10 remaining AI tool routes
The guard was only present on restore-photo.ts and the createToolRoute
factory. All other AI tools used custom route handlers that bypassed
the check entirely, allowing requests to reach the Python sidecar even
when the feature bundle was not installed. This adds an early 501
response before any multipart parsing or file processing.

Siddharth Kumar Sah a4c63855d4 fix(docker): fix TDZ crash, icon bundle bloat, rate-limit on static assets
- Fix "Cannot access 'a' before initialization" TDZ error after login
caused by manualChunks splitting react-vendor + lucide icons into
circular ES-module chunks. Removed manualChunks entirely.

- Replace `import * as icons from "lucide-react"` (pulls all ~1000 icons)
with a targeted icon-map of ~50 icons actually used by tool definitions.
Reduces shared icons chunk from 745KB to 62KB (132KB→16KB gzip).

- Exclude static files from @fastify/rate-limit via allowList so rapid
page navigations don't 429 on JS/CSS chunk requests.

- Move Docker auth defaults (AUTH_ENABLED, DEFAULT_USERNAME,
DEFAULT_PASSWORD) from Dockerfile ENV to entrypoint.sh runtime exports
  to avoid SecretsUsedInArgOrEnv warnings.

- Fix Docker CMD to use pnpm --filter for workspace-scoped tsx binary.

- Set COREPACK_HOME system-wide so non-root user can access pnpm cache.

- Lazy-load all pages in App.tsx and all controls in
pipeline-step-settings.tsx to keep main bundle under 300KB.

Siddharth Kumar Sah 93c588b239 fix(lint): resolve all biome warnings across API, web, and image-engine
API:
- Replace string concatenation with template literals (batch, pipeline,
  tool-factory, content-aware-resize, passport-photo, remove-background)
- Remove unused imports (teams, color-adjustments, image-enhancement)
- Replace non-null assertions with guard clauses in bg-effects and stitch
- Use optional chaining in docs route

Image-engine:
- Remove unused OutputFormat imports (compress, convert)
- Use local variables instead of reassigning parameters (optimize-for-web, sharpen)

Web:
- Fix useExhaustiveDependencies: remove genuinely redundant deps, add
biome-ignore comments for intentional patterns (src prop, cleanup fns)
- Replace non-null assertions with null-safe alternatives
- Add accessible titles to inline SVGs (color-settings, image-enhancement-settings)
- Fix noLabelWithoutControl: associate labels via htmlFor/id or use <span>
  (image-to-base64-settings, edit-metadata-settings, qr-generate-settings)
- Replace div[role="button"] with <button> (pdf-to-image-settings)
- Use stable keys instead of array indices (collage-preview, collage-settings)
- Fix noStaticElementInteractions in collage-preview (role="none")
- Remove unused function parameters and imports

stirling-image e7c1efaaf3 feat(passport-photo): true WYSIWYG - zoom and drag affect the download
- Zoom now controls the actual crop: zoom in = tighter crop, zoom out = more body
- Drag adjusts face position within the frame
- Backend receives zoom value and applies the same zoomed crop
- Download produces exactly what the user sees on the canvas
- Zoom range 0.5x-3x (can zoom out to show more body)
- "What you see is what you download" label

stirling-image dd51175f16 feat(passport-photo): add custom dimensions, DPI control, fix crop mismatch
- Added "Custom Dimensions" option in country dropdown with width/height inputs
- Added DPI control (72-600, default 300) for all specs
- Backend now uses actual bg-removed image dimensions for crop computation,
scaling landmark coordinates when dimensions differ from the original
- Dropdown background uses explicit bg-white/dark:bg-zinc-900 classes
- Backend supports customWidthMm, customHeightMm, and dpi in generate request

that was transparent on some themes
- Added "Scroll to zoom" hint on the right pane canvas
- Fixed file size compression loop to use padded source image

* test(image-enhancement): add unit tests for auto-enhance engine

* feat(image-enhancement): add API route with analyze endpoint and register in constants/i18n

* feat(image-enhancement): add UI component with mode selector, intensity slider, and analysis badges

* test(image-enhancement): add integration and e2e tests

* fix(image-enhancement): use modulate instead of gamma for exposure correction

Sharp's gamma() only accepts values between 1.0 and 3.0, but brightening
underexposed images computed gamma < 1.0. Switch to modulate({ brightness })
which handles both brightening and darkening correctly.

34ec840b72 docs(api): achieve 100% endpoint coverage in OpenAPI spec and VitePress docs (#54)
Add 12 previously undocumented routes to the OpenAPI 3.1 specification:
content-aware-resize, edit-metadata (+ inspect), stitch, pdf-to-image
(+ info, preview), gif-tools/info, remove-background/effects, preview,
pipeline/tools, and pipeline/batch. Fix license from MIT to AGPL-3.0,
correct DELETE /files response from 204 to 200 with body, and update
VitePress API docs (rest.md tool table, ai.md model parameters). Also
register the sharpen operation in the image-engine OPERATION_MAP so it
can be used as a standalone pipeline step.

Siddharth Kumar Sah cd886f0f82 fix(pipeline): route content-aware resize correctly and improve error messages
- Route resize steps with contentAware=true to the content-aware-resize
tool in both single-file and batch pipeline paths
- Update HEIC filename extension to .png after decoding so downstream
  tools don't attempt double-decoding
- Wrap per-step errors with step number and tool name for clarity
(e.g. "Step 1 (resize): Resize requires width, height, or percentage")
- Show first file's step-level error in batch failure messages

* chore(gif-tools): scaffold for SOTA upgrade

- Add animated GIF test fixture (3 frames, 100x100)
- Update tool description to reflect new capabilities
- Add fflate dependency to API for ZIP creation

* feat(gif-tools): rewrite backend with 6 processing modes

Modes: resize (with percentage), optimize (colors/dither/effort),
speed (delay manipulation), reverse (frame reorder), extract
(single/range/all with ZIP), rotate (90/180/270 + flip).

Adds /api/v1/tools/gif-tools/info metadata endpoint.

* test(gif-tools): add integration tests for all 6 modes

Tests metadata endpoint, resize (pixel + percentage), optimize,
speed, reverse, extract (single/range/all), and rotate (angle + flip).

Fix animated.gif fixture to be a real 3-frame animation (was a single
100x300 frame). Fix reverse and rotate modes to process frames
individually and reassemble via GIF binary concatenation, since
Sharp 0.33.x loses page-height metadata when reconstructing from raw
pixel data.

* feat(gif-tools): rewrite frontend with tabbed 6-mode UI

- useGifInfo hook for metadata (frame count, dimensions, duration)
- Info bar showing GIF properties
- 3x2 mode grid: Resize, Optimize, Speed, Reverse, Extract, Rotate
- Animation modes disabled for static images
- Loop control (infinite/once/custom)
- Batch processing support

* test(gif-tools): add to representative tools in e2e suite

df372ee1ca feat(svg-to-raster): extend settings schema with DPI, quality, and 4 new output formats (#49)
Add user-configurable DPI (36-1200) and quality (1-100) instead of
hardcoded values. Support avif, tiff, gif, heif output in addition to
png, jpg, webp. Width is now optional, defaulting to SVG intrinsic size
at the given DPI. Generate browser-previewable webp thumbnails for
non-browser formats (tiff, heif). Remove unused _contentType variable.
