* fix(thread-page): make thread auto updates opt-in
Wire `Auto` and `Update` to the same manual refresh path and cover the thread flow with an e2e harness.
* fix(thread-page): address PR review findings
* Update crypto address UI for .bso accounts
* feat(post-menu): add Report/Delete, reorder buttons, edit-only-for-mods, copy link 5chan.app
- Remove redundant reason field from edit menu (purged posts unreachable)
- Add Report post (placeholder alert) and Delete post (mobile) to post menus
- Reorder: Report, Hide, Delete, Copy x3, Image search
- Mobile edit checkbox only for mods; authors use Delete in post menu
- Copy direct link always uses 5chan.app domain
- 10px margin-top on mod menu save button
* fix(post-menu): add confirmation before delete post (Bugbot)
Replace the DOM-based user ID tooltip count with a deduped per-thread author map in `getThreadPostCountsByAuthor()`. This keeps mounted preview copies from doubling ID totals on desktop and mobile thread views.
getRenderableMobileBacklinks() now filters mobile backlinks down to replies that can actually render, so ReplyBacklinks only mounts mobileReplyBacklinks when there is visible content. This adds a regression test for the gap where a newly published reply exists before it receives its post number.
* Update README.md
* fix(post): stop thread navigation from forcing OP alignment
Route-driven thread opens now use the normal top-of-page behavior, while explicit OP permalink intents carry a scrollThreadContainerCid state and resolve against the visible thread container only. The old spacer injection path is removed.
* fix(post): address PR review follow-ups
Adds focused regression coverage for quote previews, markdown link rendering, embed toggles, and desktop/mobile post-menu actions. It also fixes the undefined feed-state crash in use-state-string.ts and removes unnecessary runtime imports with import type.
bitsocialhq/pkc-react-hooks is a fork of plebbit-react-hooks that we're maintaining temporarily as an attempt to modernize the original repository using AI tools, possibly merging changes back into plebbit-react-hooks, which should also be rebranded to pkc-react-hooks eventually, under the org pkcprotocol.
Eliminate direct @plebbit/plebbit-js (8.7MB) imports from all UI components by replacing
Plebbit.getShortAddress() with a local get-short-address utility. Add Vite manual chunks for
plebbit-js, plebbit-react-hooks, and react-spring/use-gesture. Fix catalog CLS by matching
skeleton to wrapper dimensions. Lazy-load ChallengeModal and ReplyModal. Add failed-URL cache
to useFetchGifFirstFrame, optimize useHide selector, and memoize useFeed options in mod-queue.
Split useReplies in post-desktop.tsx and post-mobile.tsx into preview/full modes so board cards avoid full REPLIES_PER_PAGE fetches by default. Added replies-preview-utils.ts and switched mobile backlinks to use precomputed directRepliesByParentCid map instead of per-reply useReplies.
Removes avatar-settings component, avatar-visibility store, and all
avatar rendering from posts. Strips avatar from account JSON, renames
NFT gateway label to media IPFS gateway, removes Polygon RPC and
hide-avatars toggle. Deletes 6 avatar-related translation keys.
Obsolete with pseudonymity mode (user IDs randomized per board) and custom boards
requiring explicit search/subscribe. Unsubscribe suffices for boards.
Replace sync setState-in-effect with keyed remount and render-derived patterns in app, error-display, topbar-edit-modal, catalog-filters; use useCurrentTime() instead of Date.now() in hot paths; fix conditional hooks, passive scroll listeners, lodash path imports.
Set repliesPerPage to 500 to avoid Virtuoso pagination sort drift. Add useProgressiveRender with startTransition batching and CSS content-visibility for long reply lists.
Aligned 5chan’s flat thread reply behavior with plebones by using `useReplies` in flat-old mode with appending account comments and rendering from `updatedReplies` when available. Reply rows now subscribe to `useAccountComment` by `index`, so pending replies transition to confirmed automatically after challenge verification without requiring manual update or refresh.
